How it works

Set it up once. Keep the bedtime routine.

Tell us what your child is loving right now, add a few details about their world, and we’ll do the nightly story writing for you. You still get the cosy bedtime moment. We just take the mental work off your plate.

01

Tell us what they're into right now

Add their name, age, and the things they can't stop talking about this week — dinosaurs, space, mermaids, whatever it is. It changes; you can update it any time.

02

Add the details that make it personal

Their pet, best friend, a favorite character, or anything else that makes the story feel like it was made specifically for them.

03

We send the story at their bedtime

Pick the time and timezone once. Every night, a new story arrives in your inbox ready to read — no inventing, no repeats, no scrambling.

What it does

The story they ask for every night.
The bedtime you actually enjoy.

Bedtime goes better when the story feels made for them. Here’s why it works.

Their world, every night

Their name, their pet, their current obsession — woven into an original story. Not a template. Genuinely theirs.

The ritual they look forward to

When the story is personal, kids ask for it. That 'one more chapter' energy — without you having to invent anything.

Arrives when you need it

Set their bedtime once. The story lands in your inbox ready to read — no scrambling, no blanking on what to say next.

Changes as they do

Into volcanoes this week? Add it tonight. The profile updates take effect immediately, so the stories stay fresh.

Still your moment together

You still read it to them. You still get that closeness. We just take the nightly mental load off your plate.

Up to two children, one subscription

Each child gets their own profile, their own story, their own delivery time. Different tastes, no compromise.

Mia’s story for tonight
Sent at 7:30 PM

Mia and the Meadow Unicorn

A sample story for Mia, age 4, who loves unicorns and her dog Biscuit

Mia had known for a long time that Biscuit was not an ordinary dog. He was too thoughtful. He tilted his head at exactly the right moments. And he always, always knew when she was sad before she did.

So when the small golden door appeared at the bottom of the garden — no bigger than a cat flap, but glowing faintly at the edges — Mia was not surprised that it was Biscuit who found it first.

"Do you know what's in there?" she whispered.

Biscuit wagged once, which meant yes. [story continues…]

What parents say

Bedtimes that got a little easier

Lily calls it her special email. Some nights she won't let me skip a single word. The story last Tuesday had her stuffed rabbit in it — she made me read that paragraph three times.

I travel three weeks out of four. Oliver still gets his story at 7pm whether I'm home or not. He told his teacher 'the stories are about me' and the teacher assumed I was writing them. I didn't correct her.

Dad to Oliver, age 6 · Manchester

I have twins with completely opposite interests. Ella wants ocean animals, Noah insists on rockets. I set up two profiles and they each get their own thing. No compromise, no arguments. Worth every penny.

Things worth knowing before you start

How personalised are the stories, really?
Every story is written from scratch using your child's name, age, the things they love, any characters or friends you've added, and anything else you've told us. It's not a template with their name dropped in — your child is the main character in an original story every night. We track recent themes so the same setting doesn't come back immediately.
Is this just ChatGPT?
No. We use Claude, a different AI model made by Anthropic. But honestly, the model matters less than what goes into it. A generic prompt gives you a generic story. We've spent a lot of time on the prompting, structure, and quality checks that turn your child's profile into something that actually feels personal. The difference is the details you give us.
Is this worth it if I could just make up a story myself?
If you make up great stories every night without effort, you don't need this. But if you've ever found yourself halfway through a dinosaur adventure with no idea where it's going, or if you travel and miss bedtime, or if you just want to give your child something that feels genuinely made for them — it's worth it. It's also worth it on the nights when you have nothing left.
Is my child's information safe?
Their profile — name, age, interests — is stored securely in our EU database. It's used only to write their stories. It's never shared with advertisers, used for profiling, or sold. When we generate a story, those details go to Anthropic's API, which doesn't train on or retain them — see their privacy policy. You can delete everything by emailing hello@sleepystories.co. Full details in our Privacy Policy.
What if I have more than two children?
One subscription covers up to two child profiles, each with their own story, interests, and delivery time. Three or more children would need a second subscription. We know that's not ideal — it's on the list.
What if a story doesn't arrive one night?
Check your spam folder first — automated emails land there sometimes. Adding stories@sleepystories.co to your contacts fixes it permanently. If a story genuinely didn't send, your dashboard shows the delivery status. Email hello@sleepystories.co if it keeps happening.
Can I update my child's details?
Yes. Log in any time and edit the profile. New obsession with volcanoes? Add it tonight. Stories reflect the change immediately.
How do I cancel?
One click in your dashboard. If you're unhappy in your first 30 days, email us and we'll refund your first payment in full. No forms, no calls, no dark patterns.
